About Rainbow Flags
Rainbow Flags is an independent guide to pride flags: what each one means, where it came from, and where to buy one in the UK.
Where our information comes from
Each flag page is written from the designer's own account wherever there is one, plus LGBTQ+ organisations and well-sourced references. We list our sources at the bottom of every flag page. Many of the newer flags were created online and spread through communities, so their colour meanings can vary. Where a flag's origin is uncertain, we say so rather than guess.
What we don't do
We don't make or sell flags, and we can't help with orders. The "where to buy" sections show current listings from Amazon UK, refreshed daily. This domain was previously used by a small online flag shop that is no longer trading. This guide has no connection with it.
Some flags associated with sexual practices are deliberately not covered, so the site stays suitable for all ages.
How the site is funded
We earn a commission when you buy through our Amazon links, and the site shows Google AdSense adverts. Neither affects what we write about any flag. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
