Welsh Pride Flag (Rainbow Dragon / Pink Cymru)
Welsh pride flags put Y Ddraig Goch, the red dragon of the Welsh national flag, onto pride colours. The two most common versions are the rainbow Welsh dragon, with the dragon over the six-stripe rainbow, and the "pink Cymru" flag, where the green and white of the Welsh flag are recoloured in shades of pink. They're flown at Pride Cymru in Cardiff, at local Pride events across Wales, and at rugby and football matches by fans who want to show Welsh and LGBTQ+ pride together. There's no single designer and designs vary, from full rainbow backgrounds to rainbow-coloured dragons, so check product photos. Some flags add the word "Cymru" across the bottom. Like most flags in this guide, the Welsh Pride Flag is usually sold in the UK as a 5 x 3 ft (about 150 x 90 cm) polyester flag with two metal eyelets, ready for a flagpole, wall or window.
