Aroace Pride Flag

Aroace is short for aromantic asexual, describing people who experience little or no romantic attraction and little or no sexual attraction. The flag most widely used for this identity has five horizontal stripes: orange, yellow, white, light blue and dark blue. It became popular online around 2018. No designer is reliably recorded, so the explanations of the colours you'll see are community readings rather than an official definition. Some aroace people fly both the aromantic and asexual flags instead, or a combined design. The orange-to-blue version is the one most often stocked by pride flag sellers, and it's a common sight during Ace Week in October and Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week in February. Like most flags in this guide, the Aroace Pride Flag is usually sold in the UK as a 5 x 3 ft (about 150 x 90 cm) polyester flag with two metal eyelets, ready for a flagpole, wall or window.

What the colours mean

Orange	Commonly read as the aromantic community
Yellow	Commonly read as the aromantic community
White	Commonly read as platonic and queerplatonic relationships
Light blue	Commonly read as the asexual community
Dark blue	Commonly read as the asexual community

The colour bar above shows the flag's palette, not a drawing of it: chevrons, circles and symbols aren't shown. Meanings are as commonly given by the flag's designer or community, and some flags have more than one accepted reading.
