Gynephilia Pride Flag
Gynephilia means attraction to women or femininity, regardless of the gender of the person who feels it. Like androphilia, the word comes from behavioural science. Some people prefer it because it describes who they're attracted to without labelling their own gender. The design usually sold as the gynephilia flag has black, grey, white and magenta horizontal stripes, the same layout as the androphilia flag but with the bottom stripe in magenta instead of green. There's no recorded designer or date and no official colour meanings, so treat it as a community flag rather than a long- established symbol. It's a niche design, available mainly from online pride flag specialists, and the exact shades vary between makers. Like most flags in this guide, the Gynephilia Pride Flag is usually sold in the UK as a 5 x 3 ft (about 150 x 90 cm) polyester flag with two metal eyelets, ready for a flagpole, wall or window.
